Heading home

We head home tomorrow, after a busy visit in Houston. We've helped Allison and Nils get settled in, and now it's time to enjoy some cooler Vancouver weather. Here we are at a large downtown park, Discovery Green, with Sophia.

Houston, Texas

We've been in Houston, Texas helping Allison, Nils and Sophia settle into their new place. They are renting a 3 bedroom, 2 story home within walking distance of Nils' new job. We've been busy helping them unpack, and spending time playing with our granddaughter.
Sophia loves having a backyard where she can play in the water. And it's certainly hot enough for that!

Casey and Audrey attended a retirement dinner at the Vancouver Yacht Club hosted by the Vancouver Teachers' Association.

Grouse Grind

Grouse Grind was closed to hikers today so Casey and Richard (a colleague from work) hiked up an adjacent trail. It took us 1 hour and 45 minutes.
