Merry Christmas! We were happy to have Allison, Nils, Sophia and Isabel visit for Christmas.

Gone to the Birds

Casey cleaned the backyard yesterday. It provided the birds with a clearer view of the lawn.

Grey Cup

Michael came to Vancouver for Grey Cup weekend and both he and Casey attended the game at BC Place Stadium.

Barnet Beach

Casey and Audrey went for a walk at Barnet Beach this afternoon. There wasn't much activity like in the summer but they did see a seal (too slow with the camera). Yes that is snow on Mt. Seymour


The sandy beach is now a path of leaves.

Hike

Casey and Audrey went on a short hike around Rocky Point in Port Moody. The hike took them to another fish ladder at Noonscreek (http://www.noonscreek.org/)

Fish Ladder

Last weekend, Casey and Audrey went to see the new fish ladder which was completed this month on the east side of Burnaby Lake. Although there were no salmon running, it was interesting to see that the construction was just 5 minutes from our local Costco. http://www.burnabynow.com/fishway+helps+salmon/5107564/story.html

Thanksgiving in Regina

Casey spent Thanksgiving weekend in Regina visiting Michael and his family. On Saturday they all went to the Dutch Grower Nursery where everyone enjoyed exploring the maze.

Audrey in Houston

Audrey is in Houston visiting Allison, Nils, Sophia and Isabel. Here she is relaxing with her girls at the park.

Golf

Casey participated in the ND Alumni golf tournament this past weekend. Although his foursome did not win the overall score (22 under par) they shot a respectable 2 under.

Back in School

Casey joined the grade 8's on their retreat this past Friday at Camp Summit in the Squamish Valley. The day included a number of activities of which two were archery and climbing the high ropes Ready to start the climb

End of Summer-Land

Casey and Audrey headed off to Summerland for the last week of August before the start of the new school year. Enjoying lunch and the view in Penticton.

Nils' Visit

Nils arrived in Vancouver during the last week of Allison's visit. We headed off to Tofino. No trip would be complete without a stop over at Coombs' Market.
