Christmas in Chicago

We are spending the Christmas holidays in Chicago, visiting Allison, Nils and our granddaughter, Sophia. We awoke the first morning to lots of snow! Sophia liked throwing snowballs.
Merry Christmas! We went to Christmas Eve mass, followed by dinner at a fancy fondue restaurant.
On Christmas day, we opened some presents, and had a yummy turkey dinner.
Casey went to a Chicago Blackhawks game with Allison and Nils. Although Chicago lost, it was still a good game.

Olympic Venues Part 1

We have started to visit different Olympic Venues before the Olympic Games brings the onslaught of visitors. Our first stop was at Canada Place and the Broadcasting Centre which will host media personnel.

One of many "Eagle art" displayed throughout the city centre.
The Broadcasting Centre as viewed from Canada Place.
Looking north from the Broadcasting Centre you will see Olympic rings in Burrard Inlet. The rings can put on programmable light shows, which they'll do every time a Canadian athlete wins a medal. A similar set of rings can be seen near the airport.

Happy Halloween

We went to the Tecters on Halloween for some hot chili and an evening of fireworks hosted by Bryan and Alex.

Everyone gathered around for the big bang.
