Olympic Venues Part 1

We have started to visit different Olympic Venues before the Olympic Games brings the onslaught of visitors. Our first stop was at Canada Place and the Broadcasting Centre which will host media personnel.

One of many "Eagle art" displayed throughout the city centre.
The Broadcasting Centre as viewed from Canada Place.
Looking north from the Broadcasting Centre you will see Olympic rings in Burrard Inlet. The rings can put on programmable light shows, which they'll do every time a Canadian athlete wins a medal. A similar set of rings can be seen near the airport.

Happy Halloween

We went to the Tecters on Halloween for some hot chili and an evening of fireworks hosted by Bryan and Alex.

Everyone gathered around for the big bang.

And there she goes...

40th Year Homecoming at St FX

On Sept 30, Casey and Audrey travelled to Antigonish, Nova Scotia for his 40 year reunion. Prior to the weekend reunion, they stayed at Rum Hollow B&B for a couple of days.

Standing on the 3.5 million year old rock formation at Peggy's Cove.

Meeting with friends Pete Dolan and Mal Murphy.

Sharing a laugh with friends and university president Sean Riley.

Vic Fleury (dark sweater) and his wife Nancy invited us for an overnight stay at their water front property in Pictou County. Pictured are Pete Dolan, Terry Reed, Vic Fleury, Neil White and Casey.

Can't leave Nova Scotia without having a lobster dinner.

Saying goodbye to friend (and owner of Rum Hollow B&B) Jim Edwards where we stayed for another day at the end of our trip. Thanks to all my friends for the week of laughter. I miss you guys.
